How We Hire

To help you get the most from your hiring process we have outlined how this usually works, along with some helpful tips and FAQs below.

The Interview Process

We want to hire people who are good at what they do, who can demonstrate our leadership behaviours, and who share our inclusive values. At the same time, we want you to feel like OLX is the place for you and we encourage you to think of the hiring process as a two-way interview.

Every role and every candidate is unique, and so each process will look slightly different.

Our typical interview process will include the following steps:

Apply

You will find all our opportunities under “Open Roles” and can apply via our careers site. Unfortunately, we are unable to process applications made outside of our careers site

First Interview

Your first interview will be with one of our recruiters, who will talk to you about the role, your experience and your ambitions. This is your chance to ask any questions about the role and request any accommodations you may need

Second Interview

The next interview will be with the people or hiring manager for the role. The purpose of the interview will be assess your technical and soft skills. It’s also another chance to learn more about OLX and the team you might join.

At this stage, for some roles there may be additional interviews or a technical task to help us assess your skill level. Your recruiter will provide more detail about this if it is the case

Feedback and Offer

You completed the interview stages! At this point, your recruiter will gather feedback for you and share. Hopefully, they will also be able to share the good news that we would like to make you an offer

  1. Test out the interview platform in advance (the link is already active) and check your device (sound, video, remember to charge your device or plug the charger in before the meeting).
  2. Use the best Internet connection you can access.
  3. Eliminate Distractions – silence your phone, turn off all notifications on your device, close all other windows or programs.
  4. Find the best place you can – ideally, a quiet room with a neutral background (for example a blank wall)
  5. Enter your zoom interview meeting no more than two minutes before the start time.

And, remember: sometimes technical difficulties happen so stay calm and carry on. If a problem occurs, simply inform your interviewer or recruitment coordinator and we will do our best to accommodate this.
